How Zorlya Mail works: addresses, pictures, privacy

Zorlya Mail is the webmail we use for our own addresses at zorlya.com. An administrator creates a mailbox, mail to it is stored in the EU and read at mail.zorlya.com, and a picture appears beside a sender only if our server finds one. Your browser never contacts a third party for it.

One look and feel: inputs, buttons and uploads

Every Zorlya app now uses the same text fields, buttons, keyboard focus ring and file picker, so Tab always shows you where you are. You can drop a file or choose one with the keyboard. These changes are merged and arrive with the next release.

Salary on a posting, and when it is missing

Read a posted salary as a range with four labels, which are what is included, the period, the currency and whether it is before tax. When no figure is posted, look for a pay grade, then ask for the range politely before you invest time in an interview.

How to decide between two offers, or staying

Write down six to eight things that matter to you, give each a weight of 1 to 3, score each option from 1 to 5, and compare the totals. Treat the result as a way to see your own priorities, not as an answer. A gap under about 10 percent of the maximum means the decision is close, and the questions you still have are what should decide it.

How to prepare for a recruiter call in 30 minutes

Spend ten minutes on the company and the posting, ten on a 60-second pitch and your salary answer, and ten on five questions of your own. On pay, say what you know honestly, ask for the range before you give a number, and give a range of your own if you must, with the floor you can accept at the bottom.

How Zorlya reads salary and why missing is not zero

Zorlya stores a salary as a number only when the source gives a yearly figure. Hourly and monthly pay stays as the text the source wrote. A posting with no salary is never scored as zero. How it counts depends on whether you set a salary floor.

A weekly job search routine around a full-time job

Cap the search at five hours a week in short blocks, and give each block one job, such as finding, applying, following up or preparing. A cap keeps the search from taking over your evenings, and a fixed schedule keeps it from being skipped.

What Zorlya Hiring offers, and what it does not yet

Zorlya Hiring lets a company claim its page, post roles, review applicants who chose to share their fit, run interviews with scorecards, send offers and onboard the hire. It names the plans and also what is not built, such as e-signature, calendar sync and background check partners.

When Zorlya uses a language model, and when it does not

Zorlya calls a language model to write for you and to judge fit, and uses plain code for arithmetic, matching and lookups. A project to replace more model calls with rules is built but still running in shadow mode, which means nothing has been switched over yet.

Resume score explained: how to read one

A resume score is a single number a tool gives your resume, built from checks the tool's maker chose, so it means little on its own. It is useful only through the findings behind it, so read those and fix readability problems before wording.

Job matching explained: scores and skills

Job matching compares what you have done with what a posting asks for and turns the comparison into a ranking or a score. Two tools disagree because they hold different jobs, read your resume differently, weight the parts differently and treat missing facts differently.

How embeddings match your resume to jobs

An embedding is a list of numbers that places a piece of text by meaning, so texts about similar work land close together. Zorlya uses them to find candidate jobs quickly, and then relies on separate checks for skills, salary and location, because a closeness score cannot see those.
