Terms of service

1. Accepting these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Zorlya ("we"). By creating an account or using zorlya.com, app.zorlya.com, hiring.zorlya.com or api.zorlya.com, you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use Zorlya. The privacy policy explains how we handle your data and is part of these terms.

2. Who can use Zorlya

You must be at least 16 years old, and old enough where you live to agree to these terms. If you use Zorlya for a company, you confirm you may accept these terms for it.

3. Your account

Anyone may sign up. Every account is verified by email: enter the code we send you and your account opens. An invitation from an administrator opens one directly. We may decline an account without giving a reason. One account is for one person. Keep your password to yourself, and tell us at security@zorlya.com if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account until you tell us.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Scrape, crawl or bulk download Zorlya, its job feed or its scores, by script or by hand
• Work around rate limits, for example by spreading requests over several accounts or addresses
• Access, or try to access, another person's account or data
• Probe, scan or test the security of Zorlya, except as described on the security page
• Upload anything you have no right to share, or anything that contains malware. This includes another person's resume in the free resume checker unless you have the right to share it
• Use the free resume checker as a service for another product, or at volume
• Use Zorlya to send spam or to contact people in ways they have not agreed to
• Resell access to Zorlya or present its output as a service of your own

5. Your content

Your resume, profile, notes and documents stay yours. You give us permission to store and process them only to run Zorlya for you: to parse them, embed them, score jobs against them, draft documents from them, and send the parts a request needs to the model providers named in the privacy policy. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account. We do not use your content to train models and we do not sell it.

6. Job listings

Zorlya reads postings from 130+ sources and links each one back to where it came from. We do not write the postings we read from other sources, and we do not check that a role is still open. A company that signs up to hire on Zorlya is checked against its work email and website, which does not make what a posting says true. A posting's accuracy is the responsibility of its source and its employer. Apply on the employer's own site, and be careful with any posting that asks you for money or for sensitive documents before an interview.

7. Scores and generated text

Match scores, explanations, cover letters, outreach drafts and resume suggestions are made by AI models from your data and the job text. They can be wrong, incomplete, or state something about you that is not true. Treat them as drafts. You decide what to send, and you are responsible for anything you send or submit to an employer. The free resume checker gives information about one file and guarantees no result with any employer.

8. Connected AI clients

You can connect an AI app that Zorlya accepts to your account over OAuth. The app acts for you, as the one account you choose, with the permission level you approve: read only, or read and change. You are responsible for what an app you connect does with that access until you disconnect it. Calls are limited per account per minute: 120 reads, 30 changes and 5 deletes. Zorlya logs the requests an AI app makes, with their contents, as the privacy policy describes.

9. Price

Zorlya is free for job seekers, and companies have a Free plan. Nothing is charged unless you choose a paid plan, and you choose it yourself at checkout.

Paid plans are sold through Freemius, which is the seller of record. Freemius takes the payment, charges any tax due, issues the receipt and handles refunds, under its own terms of sale, subscription policy and refund policy, which you see and accept at checkout. The price, billing period and limits of a plan are shown at checkout, in US dollars.

You can pay before you register. The plan is attached to the Zorlya account that verifies the same email address you paid with, so use that address, and create the account within 14 days (12 days for a trial). If nobody does, the payment is refunded, or for a trial the subscription is cancelled. A plan bought before registering can only be moved to a different address by writing to support. Seeker accounts are still reviewed by a person before they open, and paying does not skip that review.

A paid subscription renews at the end of each billing period at the price shown, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in the customer portal, and a cancelled subscription stays active until the end of the period you paid for, after which the account returns to the free plan. A plan may start with a trial. A trial that asks for a card or PayPal charges that method automatically when the trial ends, at the price shown, unless you cancel before it ends. Freemius reminds you by email before the charge.

A subscription belongs to the company or account that bought it. Plan limits, such as the number of seats or open roles, apply to that company. Going over a limit after a downgrade does not delete anything: you keep what you have and cannot add more until you are under the limit. We can change the price of a plan for new subscriptions at any time, and for an existing subscription at its next renewal, with at least 30 days' notice by email.

10. Availability

We make no promise of uptime, response time or data recovery, and features may change or be removed. We will not remove a feature you depend on without notice where we can avoid it. Current issues are posted on the status page.

11. Ending your use

You can stop using Zorlya at any time and ask us to delete your account, as the privacy policy describes. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts other people or Zorlya at risk. Where it is safe to, we tell you why and give you 14 days to export your data first. Sections 5, 12, 13 and 14 continue after an account closes.

12. Disclaimers

Zorlya is provided as it is and as available. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including that Zorlya is fit for a particular purpose, that it is free of errors, or that using it will get you a job.

13. Limits of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost opportunities, or loss of data. Our total liability for any claim about Zorlya is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, which for a free account is zero. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, such as for fraud.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, and the courts of Bangladesh have jurisdiction over any dispute about them. If you live somewhere whose consumer law gives you more protection, that protection still applies.

15. Changes to these terms

A material change is emailed to every account 30 days before it takes effect and recorded in the changelog. Using Zorlya after that date means you accept the new terms. Small fixes, such as wording or a new link, take effect when they are published.
