What a job index holds, and what it cannot tell you

A job index is a stored copy of postings gathered from many sources. On 24 October 2026 about one in five of the live jobs in Zorlya's index had no country recorded, and most known companies had no live job. These figures change daily, and none of them tells you how many openings are real.

Using Zorlya

A new look for every Zorlya email

Every email Zorlya sends now uses one shared layout, with the logo at the top left, a short heading, one button and a footer that says why you got the message. Security notices keep their line about what to do if it was not you. The only thing an email loads from the web is the logo.

A short cover letter that says something

Four short paragraphs are enough: why this role, one piece of evidence, one thing the resume cannot show, and a plain close. Aim for about 250 words. Skip the letter when the posting says not to send one, or when you would only repeat your resume.

NGO jobs: where to look and how to apply

NGO jobs are posted on each organisation's own careers page, on sector job boards and, for the UN system, on agency portals. Read the contract type and funding line first, then follow the listing's own application route. Zorlya reads a United Kingdom charity board and a UN vacancies feed, lists employers in a directory, and has no NGO filter.

How to show a resume gap or a short stint honestly

State the dates, give the gap a short plain label if it was longer than a few months, and use the cover letter or interview for the one-sentence reason. Never move dates or stretch them to hide a gap. For a stint under a year, keep it and say what you did there.

What happens to your resume during matching

Your resume is parsed into fields, split into passages and turned into embeddings, all stored in Zorlya's own database. Passages are sent to a model only to score, explain or draft, and the default model runs on Cloudflare Workers AI. You can delete files one at a time or the whole account in one step.

Where the jobs come from: 130+ sources

Zorlya reads public job boards and applicant tracking systems, the software employers post their own openings on. Every source is one that permits automated reading. LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor and more than 20 other sites were checked and left out, each for a recorded reason.

Match your resume to a job description, truthfully

To match your resume to a job description, list what the posting asks for, find your real evidence for each item, and change your wording only where the evidence exists. Gaps you cannot fill stay as gaps.

Is a job worth applying to? A ten minute check

Spend ten minutes on five checks before you apply, covering the work, your fit, the pay, the place and the employer. If two checks fail, skip the job. If one is unclear, apply and plan to ask. The check saves your time for roles where an application can succeed.

How to check that a job posting is real

Find the same job on the employer's own website, check that the contact address uses the employer's real domain, and never pay or send ID documents before a confirmed offer. Five checks take about 15 minutes and remove much of the risk.

Three dates on a job: posted, deadline and closed

A posting can carry three different dates. Posted is when the ad appeared, the deadline is the last day the employer says it will take applications, and closed is when it stops taking them. Only the deadline is a promise, and even that depends on the time zone and the employer.

Visa sponsorship jobs: how to find and check them

Visa sponsorship jobs are roles where the employer says it will support your application for permission to work in the country. Find them on employer careers pages and by asking in writing, then confirm any claim with the government's immigration site. Zorlya has no visa or sponsorship filter, and this is not legal advice.
