Ashby jobs are openings that an employer publishes through Ashby, the recruiting software it uses to post roles and take applications. You find them on the employer’s own Ashby job board, which its careers page usually links to. Ashby’s knowledge base says an employer can host its board with Ashby or integrate it with its existing careers page, and that the part of the address after jobs.ashbyhq.com, such as acme-corp, identifies the organisation. Zorlya has an Ashby reader. On 24 October 2026 it returned no jobs, and a fix for its failing runs went into the code the next day.
Ashby is an applicant tracking system, or ATS: software that holds an employer’s openings, the applications for them and the stages of hiring. Each employer that turns on a public board gets a page of its open roles, and each role gets a page of its own. The board belongs to one employer, so there is no single Ashby site that lists everyone’s jobs.
What does an Ashby job posting contain?
A posting normally has a title, a team or department, a location, an employment type and the description of the work. Ashby’s public Job Postings API documentation lists the employment types as full time, part time, intern, contract and temporary, and a link to the page where a candidate applies. The same documentation says compensation data can be included on request, so some employers add a pay range and others do not. Most end in an application form, and that form can hold questions the employer wrote itself. Which fields appear is the employer’s choice, so two Ashby boards can look quite different.
Because the posting sits on the employer’s own board, it is the original, with the full text the employer wrote. That is different from a copy on a job site, which may be shortened or out of date. An original is still not proof that the role is open or real, and how to check that a job posting is real covers the checks that apply to any posting.
Where can I find Ashby jobs?
Start with the employer. Many companies link their careers page to an Ashby board, and the address of the board usually has the ashbyhq.com domain in it. If you know the company you want, open its careers page and follow the link to the open roles. That is the quickest way to see everything the employer has listed.
If you do not have a company in mind, a few routes work, with different strengths.
A web search that names the Ashby domain and a job title often turns up boards, because search engines index many of them. Results are uneven, and a board that no one links to may not appear. A job board or a mailing list that names the employer can lead you to its careers page. And an employer directory that records the careers page of each company, such as the Zorlya directory of employers by country, gives you the starting link without a search.
How do I read an Ashby role before I apply?
Read the posting in this order. It takes five minutes and saves a bad application.
- Confirm that the board is the employer’s. The address and the company name on the page should match the employer you think you are applying to.
- Read the location line and the description together. A role can say remote in one place and name a country or a time zone in another, and is this remote job really remote shows how to tell.
- Find the date. Ashby postings carry a publication date, which its API documentation describes as when the job was last published, and a date is not the same as an open role, so read why a job’s posted date is unreliable before you count on it.
- Look for pay. If the employer shows a range, note whether it is yearly or monthly and in which currency. If it shows none, what to do when salary is missing lists what to ask.
- Read every question in the application form before you start, and write your answers in a separate document so a timed-out page does not cost you the text.
- Save a copy of the posting. Employers take roles down, and you will want the wording for the interview.
Why can a role be missing from an Ashby board?
Ashby lets an employer mark a role as unlisted. Its knowledge base says an unlisted posting is only accessible via a direct link, and its API documentation has an isListed field for the same purpose. An employer can use this for roles it does not want on its public list. It also means a board can hold fewer or more roles than you see, and a link a recruiter sends you may not show up when you browse the board. If a recruiter gives you a link, use that link.
Does Zorlya list Ashby jobs?
Not when we last checked. Zorlya reads Ashby boards company by company, using a list of employers whose boards are known. The reader is built and tested. On 24 October 2026 its runs were failing and it held no jobs. A fix went into the code on 25 October 2026: each run now reads a limited number of companies, and the next run carries on from there. Until runs succeed again, a role on an Ashby board will not reach your Zorlya feed through that reader, though the same employer’s job may reach you from another source.
If a company you care about posts on Ashby, you can still suggest it. A person on the team reads each suggestion, and an approved company is added to the companies Zorlya tracks, after which a later check looks for the hiring system its careers page uses. Ashby is one of the systems that check recognises. Suggesting a company does not make its Ashby jobs appear while the reader is down.
Questions people ask
Is Ashby a job site like the large job boards?
No. Ashby is software that employers use to run their hiring. Each employer’s board is its own page, and the jobs on it are that employer’s alone. A large job board collects roles from many employers in one place, and Ashby does not.
Can I search every Ashby job in one place?
Not through Ashby itself, to our knowledge, because the boards are separate. A web search or a tool that reads many boards can get you part of the way. Check any result against the employer’s own board, since that is the version the employer controls.
Is a job on an Ashby board more trustworthy?
It is more likely to be the employer’s own wording, which helps. It does not tell you the role is still open, that the pay is as described or that the employer is who it says it is. Run the same checks you would on any posting.
What we know and what we do not
Zorlya has an Ashby reader in its list of sources, and the platform’s own health check showed it failing with no stored jobs on 24 October 2026. A fix for those runs went into the code on 25 October 2026. We have not yet confirmed that the reader holds jobs again, so we do not claim to list Ashby jobs, and we have not checked how every employer configures its board, so the details above describe the common case. The sources Zorlya reads are listed in the app after you sign in.
We read Ashby’s Job Postings API documentation and two pages of its knowledge base on 31 October 2026.
