Add a passkey to sign in

Add a passkey under Settings, Sign in and security so you can sign in with a fingerprint, face or device lock, and remove it later.

A passkey lets you sign in with your fingerprint, face or device lock instead of typing a password. Add one under Settings, Sign in and security. Your password keeps working, and an account can hold up to 10 passkeys.

Add a passkey

  1. Sign in and open Settings, then Sign in and security.
  2. Under Passkeys, select Add a passkey.
  3. Type Your password. Zorlya asks again so that nobody else on your device can add one.
  4. Optionally type a Name, such as “Work laptop”.
  5. Select Create passkey and approve the prompt on your device.

You see “Passkey added.” We email you whenever a passkey is added or removed.

Sign in with it

On the sign in page, select the passkey button and approve the prompt. A passkey works on every Zorlya app.

Remove or rename a passkey

In the same card, select Rename or Remove next to the passkey. After removal you can no longer sign in with it, and your password still works.

If it fails

  • This browser cannot make passkeys. Use a recent Chrome, Safari, Edge or Firefox.
  • “This device already holds a passkey for your account.” You can add a passkey for each device once.
  • Cancelled. If you close the prompt, nothing is saved. Start again.
  • No password. If you signed up with Google or GitHub and never set a password, use Forgot password on the sign in page to set one, then add the passkey.
