Connect Zapier to Zorlya

How Zapier's beta MCP Client app connects to a remote MCP server with OAuth, and what Zapier's docs leave unconfirmed for Zorlya.

3 min read. Updated .

Zapier can reach Zorlya at https://mcp.zorlya.com through its MCP Client app, but we cannot confirm that the connection works. Zapier is an automation tool, not a chat app, and its redirect address is not on Zorlya’s list of AI apps.

Compatibility: Zapier’s docs match the server on the main points: a Server URL field, a “Streamable HTTP” transport option, and an “OAuth” setting that opens a browser login instead of using a key. They do not say whether Zapier uses dynamic client registration or what redirect URI it uses. Zorlya has no API keys, so the Bearer Token field is of no use here. We cannot confirm the connection works.

Not on Zorlya’s list yet. Zorlya accepts only the AI apps on its list: Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code and Cursor (how it works). Zapier is not on it, so Zorlya refuses its registration unless Zapier sends you back to an address that a listed app uses. We have not tried it. The steps below are what Zapier’s own documentation describes for a remote server.

What you need

  • A Zorlya account that is approved. A job seeker account needs the Pro plan, because AI client access is part of Pro.
  • A Zapier account with the MCP Client app. The docs list no plan requirement for it.

Steps

  1. Go to the Apps page and click “+ Add connection.”
  2. Search for and select MCP Client, then click “Add connection.”
  3. On the Connect an Account page, set Server URL to https://mcp.zorlya.com.
  4. Set Transport to “Streamable HTTP.”
  5. Set OAuth to “Yes.” Leave Bearer Token empty. Zapier ignores it when OAuth is Yes.
  6. Click “Yes, Continue to MCP Client.”
  7. In the new browser tab, choose the account and the permission level on Zorlya’s Connect page, and sign in. Read only is the default. Choose Read and change for the write tools.
  8. Rename the connection if its name does not include the server name.

The redirect URI

Zorlya refuses a redirect URI unless it belongs to an AI app on its list. Zapier’s page does not state its redirect URI, and no Zapier address is in the list, so registration is refused. Ask Zapier support which address it uses if you want to take this further.

What you should see

The connection appears in the Zap editor. Refresh the page if it does not. Zapier offers New Tool and New Tool Result triggers, a Run Read-Only Tool search, and a Run Tool action. Only tool calls are supported, so Zorlya’s resources and prompts are not available.

Example workflow idea: a daily digest

  1. Trigger: Schedule by Zapier, every morning.
  2. Action: MCP Client, Run Read-Only Tool, with the tool top_matches.
  3. Action: format the first 5 results as one line each with title, company and score.
  4. Action: send them to yourself by email or in Slack.

Using the read-only search keeps the Zap away from the save and track tools.

If it does not connect

  1. Registration or redirect refused. Zapier does not document dynamic client registration or its redirect URI.
  2. Wrong transport. Zorlya answers Streamable HTTP only. Choosing SSE will fail.
  3. Asked to reconnect at once. Zapier’s troubleshooting says to check the account has the needed permissions and that the transport and field values match the server, then reconnect.

What we checked

The steps come from Zapier’s help article, read on 2026-10-17. We did not try the connection to Zorlya in Zapier.
